Here’s a quick note dedicated to my ink and piercings. Since my count is very few, I combined them.
Ink
[Ink 1] January 11, 2008. This was my first tattoo. I got this on my 18th birthday
The numbers represent a date; 11/27/2004 is the date of my father’s death. He meant a lot to me and this is like my tribute. Ink represents permanence, and how he will always be a part of me, and I have it placed on my ankle to represent how he will be with me every step.
[Ink 2] May 8, 2008. This was very spontaneous. My friend at work, Tory, just got a tattoo on her hip and it was really cool, and it got me thinking. What if I got a tattoo for prom? My dress was strapless, so I thought some nice shoulder ink would be a good surprise. I browsed and decided to get my own super cliche pair of wings. I was with my friend Tara that night and we decided to go to the tattoo shop to see how much it might cost me. Spare, my artist this time around, designed this and ended up inking me right there that night. Whoops. I don’t necessarily regret it, but I could also live without it.
[Ink3] June 13, 2009. Ok. So I was thinking about ink for a little while and I wanted to incorporate a lyric that I love into it. But also because my mother does not like the idea of me getting inked anymore, I couldn’t get it where I originally intended, but this placement is still nice. If you’re having trouble reading, it says, “she feels the rhythm like it is her heartbeat.” The song? Karaja- She Moves.
[Ink4] July 15, 2009. Jenn, Amanda and I are probably the best thing. Through everything, they’ve been there and we’re a trio. After much ink craving, we decided to all get ink together. We all have a variation of 3 stars somewhere on our body, and that’s a symbol of all of us, together, forever and cheese.
Piercing
It’s simple. My standard first holes and then 2 cartilage. I love stars.
[Edit] June 13, 2009. I got my 2nd holes pierced
