I took my first final (Psychology) on Saturday, the 25th. I have a chemistry one tomorrow, and then a biology one Thursday.  That would mark my first year of college!

I’ve been thinking about going to London for a semester, but that would require some more money and for me to take a summer class. I’m not sure if that’s what I really want to do, but I don’t have much time if I need to register for that class. Input?

My school is pretty small, so we don’t have a study abroad program of our own; we’re working with NYU‘s program, and the only place that I would be eligible for is London. London is the only location that offers science programs, and since I’m a Pharmacy major, that is the only place that offers courses that will count towards my degree.  Even so, they only have a few (actually, more like 1 that coincides with my academic schedule). So in order for me to advance into my third year (first professional year of pharmacy school), I’d have to finish a certain amount of courses and credits.  My first semester and London will not put me where I need to be, and so I’d have to take an additional course over the summer.  I could go after college, but it is not the same experience just visiting the place vs. going to school over there.

London is a commitment.  I’m not sure if it is something I truly want or if I’m just in love with the idea of going.  I would love to just tell people, “Oh yeah, I’m going to London.”   But is that enough to justify the expenses? I’m only doubting this because the money for summer classes is more ‘out of pocket’ cash, where as I have student loans for the semester.  Also, as cool as it would be, I’m not sure if I’m willing to sacrifice about half of my summer (that I could potentially be making money) being in class, away from all my friends.  My decision is somewhat short since I have to decide whether or not I am going to take the class (register and pay); if I decide not to do that, London is completely out.

[plug] Speaking of, have you guys visited fmylife.com at all? It’s a humorous site where people have tragic stories, and you just have to feel better through empathy or just being able to see that your life isn’t as bad as theirs (through laughter). Check it out if you haven’t already. [/plug]

I recently copied all my old web files to my current computer (I don’t know why they weren’t here before) so I hope to have more things up and running in the semi-near future! I’ll check back later
